Apologies for not posting recently it has been quite a full on time. Lockdown hasn’t been getting easier but the lift is slowly creeping upon us so we have light at the end of the tunnel!!
For this post I have done a self weaning recipe its one of the many recipes I used to encourage Aniya to feed herself. She loves these burgers I serve them with blueberries cut in half ensuring they are very soft and squidgy so they are easy for her to chew as she still has no teeth at the moment !! If you blueberries are to ripe you can always boil them to soften or mash them up a little with a fork. Blueberries are a good way to encourage babies to use their thump and index finger to pick up , so it helps aid their fine motor skills.
Recipe:
- 100g Chicken
- 4 large florets Brocolli
- 100g sweetcorn
- 1 egg (to bind)
- 1 teaspoon oil
Method :
So this recipe is quite simple. I pop all the ingredients in to my trusted tommee tippee food blender, combine until the chicken has properly minced and all ingredients are incorporated.
Then I heat a non stick pan (I try use non stick so it decreases the use of oil when cooking). Heat the oil and using a spoon dollop the mixture into the pan at the size you want for your little on to be able to handle. I then fry for 6-8 mins on either size ensuring the meat is cooked all the way through. And your ready to serve !!
I hope your little one enjoys. Any left over mixture can be frozen and reused. And this recipe is suitable for 9+ months.
